This series began as a celebration of the patterns, textures, and details of the physical structures I’ve inhabited during my most recent, long period of transition. These works serve as a place for me to record and recall the things I loved about the spaces I inhabited while living in 5 states and 10 houses in 8 years.

As I’ve slowly acclimated to my new environment, this work has morphed into a rumination on love, belonging, and otherness. It is a celebration of the process of becoming home, wherever I am. As a northerner living in the south I will always be an outsider, but I am home here now.
